Liberal Arts spans a variety of topics, so does it mean that I will be ”ready” anything in the future? We shall see…

…I wonder if I created another blog, would a similar pattern emerge or will I learn about the other/new me?

As for now, I do feel I’ve taken upon an efficient lifestyle as presented in the matrix. Being a student has shown me the values of time management but also the importance of rest and stress management. The environment is another concern, as resources are declining due to overconsumption and underfunding to mother nature. The synergy of the world is definitely unbalanced, ethical standards are changing for the worst.

Learning GIMP was not as hard as WordPress I must say. Although I am glad to have expressed my electracy.

Another small patern that was apparent in my narratives was the emergence of bright colors. Mostly in the form of yellow (the sneakers, the sun, the painting) and orange (highschool/university colors, Binky Barnes, Florida). Researching the symbolism of colors I discovered that:

Yellow: symbolizes joy, happiness, optimism, idealism, gold, but also dishonesty, cowardice, deceit, illness, and hazard.

……and

Orange: represents energy, balance, warmth, enthusiasm, flamboyant, and demanding of attention. (which I have no problem with…on with the Orange!)

Never did I think I would call Miami, FL home, leaving the  town of East Orange, NJ behind in a sudden flight. The Sunshine State produces the best oranges in the U.S., its warm weather soothing, and its fruits essential to the immune system.

Countless days are spent in classrooms and hallways and we seem to take them for granted. We seem to only miss school when its long and over with, dreading the days of adulthood and laughing at the mindset we once had. For me school was more than a meeting place, it was essential apart of my life. When looking back into the past, the same story will be seen every time, unfortunately we are never fully aware that are actions are like pens, un-erasable.

With my family narrative it is apparent how “school” pops up as both settings of my stories are in part related to school (the acceptance of my sneakers in middle, elementary summer school). We also see “school” with Arthur as theme of the show is based schoolmates who find themselves in rather educational adventures. Obvious enough is the story of Booker T. Washington who was known as a great educator and is the name of my highschool. Washington strove for education by creating numerous facilities where his people could become great.

These structures can span yards or contain a single room, they come in all colors in various location and accept all races but one thing they have in common is that it contains the building blocks to civility and intellectuality. It is the foundation on which life’s actions revolve, we learn so we can do (properly). Some schools are sacred, while others are abandoned, some overcrowded, some understaffed although its implementations are unbalanced we seek education to gain balance.

For this post the question is asked, How do I believe one should act in the world. I turn to Booker T. for this answer. He believed in educating educators in the hopes that enlightenment would spread like a wildfire. He devoted time to teaching people on how to make their lives simpler and bearable. Is this the reflection of my conduct? SURE! I love the idea of efficiency and technology, anything to get the job done better and for the greater good!

my Mystory has an uncanny element of surprise and this is what I know my life is full of. I often feel overwhelmed by the amount of 90 degree turns I’ve taken throughout these 21 years, and seems like ride has only just begun. My crush asking me to come sit with him will always be a highlighting moment, as with every crush whose smiled back! The fact that I experience life so vividly only serves me the opportunity for more new and exciting feats. No need for adrenaline inducing sports or mind altering experiences, I get enough thrills from life’s little surprises. So when I feel like I’m moving away from potential, I create it somewhere else.

How I feel about what I’ve learned of myself can be extracted from the entertainment section. As with Binky, I feel misunderstood about my expectations in life. At times when I am percieved to be on vacation the reality is hard work made to look easy. As with these “surprises” that happen to appear, my philosophy is “just go with the flow”. Not in the sense to follow the crowd, but in not fighting the current and being swept on to shore. Binky never made a big deal about his project, but his results surpassed everyone’s expectations.
